Bellingham, WA (October 6, 2009) -- Mt. Baker ski area is famous for its lift- accessed slackcountry, but it's also infamous for its large avalanches. To help educate the increasing number of riders ducking the ropes for fresh, three Western students have created an avalanche awareness study that focuses specifically on the backcountry around the resort. It's based on knowledge from local avy experts, covers the Shuksan Arm and Table Mountain, and is all presented clearly and colorfully on the website.
