The journey took 364 days, but Greg Hill conquered the seemingly impossible goal of climbing, and skiing, 2 million vertical feet in one year. This video takes a look at the motivation behind Hill's personal challenge, and the dedication and conditioning required to manage the grueling task of ascending an average of 5,500 feet every day for full calendar year.

Salomon's Freeski TV series continues to deliver quality free footage, and we're not complaining. The latest installment follows Dane Tudor, Sammy Carlson and Mike Henitiuk to Niseko, Japan as they seek out the country's finest powder, pillows and gas station fare--including Tudor's pillow line aptly dubbed "The Stairway to Hell." 

While in the PNW it was raining at a Noah-and-the-flood pace (four inches in 24 hours) the Selkirks were seeing snow, and myself, photographer Garrett Grove, and tele-master Paul Kimbrough decided to make the journey from Bellingham, WA, to Revelstoke Mountain Resort, deep in the heart of interior BC.
