There have been few–if any–skiers that have touched as many people and influenced the sport as much as Shane McConkey. The man was both a legend as an athlete and a wonderful counterstrike against the seriousness of the ski industry–his Saucer Boy persona became a beloved cult icon, his innovation in rocker changed the way we ski today, and his general awesomeness as a human being made the entire ski world smile and made being on skis that much more fun.
