Black Diamond athlete Zack Giffin and I summited and skied Mt. Baker at the beginning of May after a late season storm. We never used crampons or ice axes and skinned all the way to the top. It was pow; conditions were nearly perfect. We also scored some ‘inbounds’ powder days after the resort closed. Check out Zack’s edit of the adventure and the full story.
