Berms and Booters: 4,946 Feet of Dirt at Whistler Bike Park

Many know of Whistler Blackcomb for their extensive ski area and world-renowned peak-to-peak gondola. But when the seasons change and all of the snow melts, folks are dusting off their bikes and sticking around town; taking advantage of the 4,946 vertical feet of lift-access bike trails at the Whistler Mountain Bike Park. From beginners looking for mellow, machine-groomed, bermed cruiser trails, or a seasoned rider wanting jump lines, tightly-rooted singletrack and rock drops, the Whistler Bike Park has something for everyone.

Among some of the riders this weekend was a 20-person bachelor party rallying top to bottom with hoots and hollars the whole way down (a great way to kick a hangover after a long night of partying in the Village), as well a five year old mini shredder on his first ever chair-lift bike ride. Now that the snow is gone, Whistler offers hope to listless skiers…the shredding continues.

Huge thanks to Chris McLeod for a great weekend and operation at the Whistler Bike Park!
