Besides Tuckerman’s Ravine, the East Coast is not known for it’s spring backcountry skiing…or spring skiing at all. That, however, is not necessarily due to a lack of options, as “full-time East Coast working stiff ” Ryan Gibbs proves as he explores from Mount Washington’s lesser-known slopes to areas as remote as Maine’s Mt. Katahdin.
