One plank or two, the snow community is a tight one, and when Liz Daley passed away the same day as JP Auclair and Andreas Fransson it rocked skiers and snowboarders alike. Liz was known for her kindness, warmth and her perma-stoke that she passed around to all around her. As a fitting tribute, Patagonia presents “AK Girls Way,” documenting a bush plane-accessed trip Liz and Caroline Gleich took to the vastness of Alaska’s Tordrillo Mountains.
Liz passed away in an avalanche in Argentina last year, doing what she loved. She lives on through everyone she touched and inspired. The American Mountain Guides Association has set up a memorial scholarship fund for aspiring guides who “Live Like Liz.” To donate go here, to apply visit here.
