In Japanese, “Yuki” is the word for snow, and anybody who’s visited the country to go skiing knows how important a word that is. Rusutsu Resort, on Japan’s north island of Hokkaido, is a place where “Yuki” is used frequently, often followed by words like “extremely deep” and “mind-blowing.” In episode one of Snow Locals’ three-part web series, the crew does some translating in the best powder of their lives.
