Mikaela Shiffrin: US Ski Team’s Youngest Star

With the hype around the Summer Olympics winding down, we can’t help but look ahead to the next 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea and one of its potential all-stars: Mikaela Shiffrin, who at 18 years old won the slalom event in the 2014 Games in Sochi to become the youngest Olympic gold medalist in alpine skiing history. For 2018 she will compete in all five downhill events, and has aspirations of winning a medal in each. “I’m a dreamer,” she says.
