It’s no secret that Japan’s north island of Hokkaido is a powder paradise; each year, more and more Westerners journey to its hallowed, snow-covered mountains for some of the best turns of their lives. But there are also hidden corners on the island, unexplored zones still waiting to be discovered–which is exactly what Sam Smoothy, Jeremie Heitz and Dane Tudor planned to do this past winter during a trip to Hokkaido.
