X Games Real Ski 2020

The “World of X Games: Real Ski 2020” gives us a behind-the-scenes look into what it takes to create these video parts and how the judges decided who made it to this year’s podium.

Medalists:

Jake was hungry for gold this year after winning fan favorite last year while absent from the podium. He undoubtedly earned the top spot taking his unique approach and list of never-before-done tricks, which helped make him the standout fan favorite last year, and magnifying the size of features and his trick selection. Oliver Hoblitzelle was behind the camera again with his signature highly saturated grainy filming and editing style giving the video a standout vibe.

Émile takes his clean style to massive spots with big builds, insane gaps and intimidating drops winning silver in a stacked field of talented street skiers. His selection of locations sets Émile apart, because of the ridiculous amount of high-consequence features in one short video.

Alex took home third place while winning the fan favorite vote of the competition, meaning an invite for a shot at gold again next year. Alex brings his bouncy creative style to high consequence locations, squeezing under and through metal and concrete, hand dragging spins to reverts over large drops and transferring gnarly rails. His filmer Pär “Peyben” Hägglund now has X Games hardware as both a skier and filmer after winning silver in Real Ski 2019.
