Erin Spong’s “Consonance”
Skiing is filled with contrast—fast and powerful turns, slow, thoughtful movements. In “Consonance,” Erin Spong seeks a balance.
“Harmony or agreement among components,” is the official definition of “consonance,” which the Pocatello, ID-based skier explores in this five-minute film. Blending two worlds, Spong dances between deep pow turns and slow breathwork, embracing the contrast of fast and slow in a few dreamy and abstract moments of skiing.
