Ryan StuartFrom falling off the T-bar as a tiny tike to freezing his face off on Lake Louise’s Summit Platter to reporting from North America’s longest T-bar in this issue, Ryan Stuart’s most memorable ski lift memories are from archaic surface lifts. In his opinion, they build character. When he’s not skiing, Ryan is a freelance writer for Ski Canada, Outside, Backcountry Magazine and many other publications. He is based out of Vancouver Island, BC.
Izzy Lidsky Despite being born and raised in Colorado and taught to ski at a young age, Izzy didn’t actually enjoy skiing until she watched her first ski film, Superheroes of Stoke, in 2012. Now a freelance writer and photographer in the outdoor industry, Izzy is still excited that she gets to do the things she loves for a living. When she’s not skiing or working, she can often be found on a bike, whitewater kayaking, or singing to her cat, Biggie Smalls. Find her at @izzylidsky on Instagram.
Tero Repo Tero Repo was born and raised in Helsinki, Finland. He never formally studied photography, and instead learned everything on his own using a Canon EOS 500 analog camera. After high school and mandatory military service, he moved to Verbier, Switzerland, to spend a season as a ski bum. Before long, Repo realized he could sell his ski photos—somehow he is still making a living off of it. He lives in Volleges, Switzerland, with his wife and two children. Find more of his work at terorepo.com.
