From Clambin extreme to Wayne Wong, ski ballet, and the slow dog noodle, the ’70s was an era of progression–an era that redefined what was possible on skis; Peter Miller and Mark Shapiro can attest to that.

Old school freestyle was the next evolution and it all went nuts from there. It began at the World Freestyle Championships at Cervinia, Italy, where I met all the stars of that era. I spent the summer of ‘75 at Henri Authier and Manfred Kastner’s freestyle summer camps at Tignes, France. There I honed my skills shooting mogul and ballet photos on the glacier and the water ramps.
