Following the Mundays in the Waddington Range

I nearly drowned, and we haven’t even started into the most dangerous part of the mission.

After tumbling off my stand-up paddleboard, I find myself pinned under a dock for well over a minute, barely able to move enough to get my head above water. Luckily, my friends are able to pull me to safety just in time, before hypothermia sets in. If they had come a few moments later, I would most likely have died before ever seeing our objective: The craggy summit of Mount Waddington.

There’s already 185 miles of sailing behind us, and tomorrow we begin 30 miles of bushwhacking just to get to 18 miles of glacier travel. From there, we still have a mountain to climb…
