“Rad Moms” at Jackson Hole
Jackson Hole is steeped in skiing history. Historical ski descents, old-school legends, storied buildings—but the women pro skiers in the Tetons are setting a new kind of example.
Rad Moms is a peek into the lives of five professional skiers-turned-moms, highlighting the strength and determination they’ve put into their ski careers as well as their families—proving that you can do both. This JHMR short features Resi Steigler, Jessica Baker, Lynsey Dyer, Crystal Wright and Jess McMillan, who’ve all spent decades under the spotlight at freeski competitions and World Cup races. Now, all five women have kids in tow. No one’s pretending that life looks exactly as it did. It’s different, but it’s life in the mountains, passing on skiing to a whole new generation—rewarding in a whole new way.
Women like Steigler, Baker, Dyer, Wright and McMillan are paving the way for moms in the mountains—showing their kids (especially their daughters) what women are truly capable of.
