Thoughts and Prayers to Those Lost at Stevens Pass

In light of the recent events at Stevens Pass, WA we at The Ski Journal wish to extend our thoughts, prayers and condolences to the friends and families of those lost in the mountains this Sunday. Chris Rudolph, Jim Jack and Johnny Brenan were all close to The Ski Journal family and the tragic news is difficult to swallow. The three were part of a larger group skiing in the sidecountry and succumbed to a large avalanche. You will be missed.

This, according to the Stevens Pass facebook: “The Stevens Pass family is deeply saddened by the loss of 3 extraordinary men. Johnny Brenan – an enthusiastic Leavenworth local, events host and former ski patroller. Jim Jack – a constant positive force, a local legend and pillar within the freeski community. And Stevens Pass’ own Marketing Director, Chris Rudolph – a man of endless charisma and charm, whose vision and dedication to Stevens Pass helped shape the mountain we all love today. We ask that you extend your thoughts, prayers and positive vibes to their family and friends.”

RIP.
