Scandinavian big-mountain skier Matilda Rapaport passed away today, after being caught in an avalanche while filming outside of Farellones, Chile. Matilda, a renowned competitor on the Freeride World Tour, was a warm and well-loved personality in the freeski world, a role model who inspired both new skiers and old-guard alike. Matilda was recently married to Mattias Hargin, a World Cup racer. She was 30 years old.
The TSKJ crew extends our best wishes to her friends and family and the ski world in general. Matilda, you will be missed.
