Team Sweden Wins First Freeski Comp at Danish Power Plant Ski Hill

With the help of some green plastic, Denmark was able to host its first major international freestyle ski event on June 27th. For the inaugural “Scandanavian Team Battle” duos from Denmark (Jakob Ebskamp and Isabella Tvede), Sweden (Jesper Tjäder and Emil Granbom), Norway (Ferdinand Dahl and Johan Berg), the USA (Colby Stevenson and Joss Christensen), and the UK (Chris McCormick and Christian Moser) arrived, vibed, and vied for victory at CopenHill, an urban ski hill built on top of a waste-to-energy plant, in front of an audience of nearly 300.

Following two hours of sweaty slopestyle in nearly 80-degree heat (and a close call with one of the photographers) Team Sweden claimed victory and a year’s worth of bragging rights.
