With Steven Pass, WA recieving its second snowiest February in 50 years, the mountain’s pro patrol has been doing plenty of avalanche control. This controlled slide–set off while avy conditions were rated “considerable” and immediately outside the resort boundaries–is proof that even controlled “sidecountry” can be deadly dangerous.
