Attack of the Butterflies: July Corn of Lassen Peak
There is still quite a bit of snow in the mountains, including California’s Lassen Peak, meaning there are still those seasonally-confused individuals willing to shred it. Brian Gillis is one of those devotees. Less than a week ago, after he and his roommate were “swarmed by tens of thousands of California tortoise-shell butterflies,” the duo skied a few thousand feet of sweet, sweet corn. Kudos to you, Mr. Gillis.
